Portuguese master sculptor Duarte Pereira has hand crafted this iconic emblem of Three Essential Elements. The sculpture is carved from mahogany wood. Its base is approximately 15cm x 15cm and it stands 20cm tall. The free-floating ball acts as a musical rattle. On one side of the base is a metal plate saying "Three Essential Elements."
The ThrEE sculpture, with its three flames reaching upward and its floating sound maker within the flames, symbolizes the interplay of composer, performer and audience in the creation of music.
Three Essential Elements Ltd. has commissioned Duarte to create a limited number of these sculptures to support our musical mission.
