Petros Bouras (piano), Babis Karasavvidis (violin) and Marina Kolovou (cello) - three soloists with a common vision: to approach classic musical literature in a fresh and energetic way. The Galan Trio expresses the substance of great music through their personal perspective and they use video-art, lighting and dancing to enhance the audiences experience.

The Galan Trio’s repertoire includes piano trio classics from Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Fanny Mendelssohn, Franz Schubert, Clara Schumann, and Dimitri Shostakovich. They have premiered new trios by David Haladjian, Vincent Kennedy, Thomas Bramel, Harald Weiss, Nikos Xanthoulis and Vasco Pereira.

The Galan Trio has appeared at music festivals, universities, and music foundations throughout Greece. There performances have been broadcast over European radio and television. They performed at the 2016 Greek Inspirations Festival in China, Gulangyu, “The piano island”.

Their debut album, “Switch”, new music composed for the Galan Trio by internationally well-known composers received its world premiere in the Megaron Hall, Athens. Performances followed at the "Komitas Festival" in Yerevan, Armenia; the Eduard Kzrtmyan Music School in Vanadzor, Armenia; Sant Pere Civic Hall in Mallorca, Spain; and The Hague, the Netherlands.
