Very frankly, I thought new classical music was painfully difficult. I went to the concert expecting to leave at intermission. OMG, was I wrong – the music was beautiful, completely changed my view – can’t wait for the next concert.

The Galan Trio in China

The Galan Trio in China

Three Essential Elements (ThrEE) began after the Galan Trio premiered new piano trios by composers from six nations.  The concert took place at the Megaron concert hall in Athens, Greece. Athens was abuzz with excitement over the new music, with radio airplay and interviews with Galan Trio and the composers. The audience gave appreciative applause, and the critics were exuberant with their praise of the performers and the new music. It was hailed as a “new day” for audience-friendly classical music. All in all, it was an experience we wanted to replicate. So, we formed ThrEE.
